Shishito peppers are a type of Japanese pepper that are typically sweet, however you can occasionally get a spicy one. I get these peppers from Trader Joe’s but you can get them from just about any grocery store. They taste great with a little bit of a char to them so you will want to make sure your pan is really hot.

Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

1 bag of TJ’s Shishito Peppers

2 tbsp of Olive Oil

1 tbsp of Soy Sauce

1. Heat a medium sized pan over high heat with olive oil. Once oil is hot add peppers and saute for 5 to 7 minutes. You will want a nice char on the outside of the peppers. If there is too much smoke you can turn down the heat but cook them for longer until the desired char.

2. Remove peppers from the pan and place them in a bowl. Add soy sauce and coat to peppers and top with a dash of salt. Enjoy!
