I know a lot of people typically buy cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving, however I saw some fresh cranberries at Trader Joe’s as well as some pomegranate seeds and thought it would be fun to try and make it at home! The process was so easy and the sauce turned out great, so I definitely recommend this recipe if you are looking to add an easy and homemade side to the table! I used a splash of orange juice in the recipe, however you can definitely go without it so  no need to buy a huge bottle of OJ only to use a little.

Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

1 8-12 oz pack of Fresh Cranberries

1 pack of Pomegranate Seeds (typically 5-6 oz)

½ - ¾ cup of Sugar (depending on how sweet you want it)

Splash of Orange Juice (about 2-3 tbsp.)

1. Heat a saucepan over medium heat and add cranberries, sugar and a splash of orange juice.

2. Stir occasionally for 10-15 minutes until cranberries start to break down and burst.

3. Once the mixture is resembling a sauce, take off heat and stir in pomegranate seeds.

Serve warm or cooled  - enjoy!
